David Russell (デイヴィッド・ラッセル)。イギリスの男性ギタリスト。1953年6月1日生まれ。
王立音楽院での在学中、デヴィッド・ラッセルはジュリアン・ブリーム・ギター賞を2度受賞した。その後、アンドレス・セゴビア国際ギターコンクール、ホセ・ラミレス・コンクール、そしてスペインの権威あるフランシスコ・タレガ国際ギターコンクールなど、数々の国際コンクールで優勝を飾った。世界中をツアーして回り、ニューヨーク、ロンドン、東京、ロサンゼルス、マドリード、トロント、ローマといった主要都市の著名なホールに定期的に出演している。CD『AIRE LATINO』にてグラミー賞の最優秀クラシック・器楽ソロ・パフォーマー部門を受賞。2014年、ツーソンのアリゾナ大学より音楽名誉博士号を授与される。2018年、全米ギター協会（Guitar Foundation of America）の殿堂入りを果たした。1997年にはロンドンの王立音楽院（The Royal Academy of Music）のフェローに任命された。2003年5月、自身が育ったメノルカ島の町エス・ミグホルンから「養子（名誉市民）」の称号を贈られるという大きな名誉を手にする。後に同町は、通りを一つ「アヴィングダ・デヴィッド・ラッセル（デヴィッド・ラッセル通り）」と命名した。2003年11月、バレアレス諸島音楽院の栄誉メダルを授与された。2005年5月、ビーゴの音楽院からオマージュを捧げられ、新しいオーディトリアムの開館時にホールは「アウディトリオ・デヴィッド・ラッセル（デヴィッド・ラッセル講堂）」と名付けられた。2009年、スペインで最も古いギター協会「アミゴス・デ・ラ・ギタラ（ギターの友）」の名誉会員に任命された。録音ではこれまでにテラーク・インターナショナル（Telarc International）から17枚のCDをリリースしている。
