Paula Atherton (ポーラ・アサートン)。アメリカの女性サックス奏者。
ニューヨーク州ロングアイランドのマサペクアパークで生まれ育った。9歳でフルートを、10代でサックスを始め、その後すぐにジャズにさらに興味を持つようになった。ジャズ・ヴォーカリスト／ミュージシャンとして、アサートンはビリー・ホリデイ、チャーリー・パーカー、キャノンボール・アダレイ、デヴィッド・サンボーンといったアーティストから影響を受けた。2019年には、スペインのマドリッドで開催されたHot Smooth JazzフェスティバルにMaria Guerrero theaterで出演したほか、Jacksonville Beach Jazzシリーズ、Dauphin County Jazz Fest、Potomac Jazz Festival、Brass City、Grand Rapids、Legacy Jazz Festivalにも出演した。これまでに「Sassy Strut」、「Herbie」、「Between You & Me」、「My Song For You」、「Into the Night」と、ビルボードTOP30に5枚のシングルをチャートインさせている。また、シンディ・ブラッドリーズのシングル "Girl Talk "にも参加し、ビルボード2位を獲得した。2020年に6枚目のアルバムからの1stシングル、グレッグ・マニングがプロデュースし、ポーラとグレッグが作曲した"Can You Feel It "をリリースし、2020年にMediabaseで1位、Smooth Jazz Networkで1位（4週間）、Billboardで3週間1位を獲得した。
