Althea Rene (アルシア・ルネ)。アメリカの女性フルート奏者。
ミシガン州デトロイト出身。12月25日生まれ。ジャズ、フュージョンのフルート奏者。4歳より音楽を始め、ワシントンのハワード大学でクラシック音楽を学ぶ。デトロイトのウェイン郡副保安官を10年以上務め、、夜はジャズクラブで演奏していた。現在はフルタイムの演奏・レコーディング・アーティストとして活躍している。父デジー・マッカラーズ（モータウンのオリジナル・ファンク・ブラザーズの一人）から音楽のインスピレーションを得た。グラミー賞にもノミネートされたマルチ・プラチナム・サックス奏者のナジェは、彼女のことを「フルートのメイシオ」と呼んでいる。2013年5月、大ヒットプロジェクト「イン・ザ・フロー」をリリース。グラミー賞受賞プロデューサーのマイケル・ブローニングとの共同作曲によるタイトル曲は、フルートをフィーチャーしたシングルとして初めてビルボードとスムース・ジャズのチャートで1位を獲得した。2021年にアメリカの大統領ボランティア・サービス賞を受賞。非営利芸術団体Colors & Songの共同設立者で、音楽と芸術で人々を教育し、楽しませ、鼓舞することに情熱を注いでおり、様々な大学や音楽団体でフルートのマスタークラスやワークショップを開催している。
