Charlotte Ashton (シャーロット・アシュトン)。イギリスの女性フルート奏者。
2015年にロイヤル・アカデミー・オブ・ミュージックを優等首席と「プリンシパル賞」を受賞して卒業し、フルートをクレア・サウスワース、カレン・ジョーンズ、サム・コールズに、ピッコロをパトリシア・モリスとヘレン・キーンに師事した。2008年にパーセル・スクール（若い音楽家のための音楽学校）に入学。2018年、業界への顕著な貢献が認められ、「英国王立音楽アカデミー準会員」に任命された。2016年以来、BBCスコティッシュ交響楽団(BBCSSO)の首席フルート奏者を務めている。2016年にはマティアス・ピンシェルの指揮のもと、エディンバラ国際音楽祭でブーレーズの『メモリアーレ』を演奏し、最近ではBBCラジオ3で放送されたバーンスタインの『ハリル』をジョン・ウィルソンと録音した。 また、ジェイムズ・マクミランの『追憶』をフルート独奏のために録音した。BBCSSOでの活動に加え、シャーロットは多忙なフリーランスのスケジュールをこなし、フィルハーモニア管弦楽団、ロンドン交響楽団、ロンドン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、ジョン・ウィルソン管弦楽団などのゲスト首席フルート奏者として定期的に出演している。また、ヘブリディーズ・アンサンブルとも定期的に共演している。ソリストとして、2015年ロイヤル・オーバーシーズ・リーグの管楽器、金管楽器、打楽器のファイナルで優勝したほか、メイキング・ミュージックのフィリップ＆ドロシー・グリーン賞（ヤング・コンサート・アーティスト部門）、英国王立アカデミーのクリス・テイラー・フルート賞、ハロルド・クラクストン記念トラスト賞など数々の賞を受賞している。セント・ジョンズ・スミス・スクエア、セント・マーティン・イン・ザ・フィールズ、ウィグモア・ホール、ブリストルのコルストン・ホールなど、国内各地の会場でリサイタルを開催している。
