指揮者
Arjan Tien (アルヤン・ティエン)。オランダの男性指揮者。1968年生まれ。
当初はヴァイオリニスト、ヴィオリストとして活躍。ビオラ奏者として、彼はオランダの国立青少年管弦楽団(National Youth Orchestra)の首席ヴィオリストを務めた。1992年から2005年まで、オランダ放送フィルハーモニー管弦楽団のヴィオラ奏者を務めた。ジョージ・ハーストとロベルト・ベンツィのもとでオーケストラ指揮を学んだ。1998年、南アフリカのダーバンでクワズール・ナタール・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団を初めて指揮した。それ以来、このオーケストラや南アフリカの他のオーケストラと定期的に共演。南アフリカの室内管弦楽団とブラームスのアルト・ラプソディとシボンジル・クマロをソリストとしてCDをリリース。1999年から2001年までオランダ放送フィルハーモニー管弦楽団の副指揮者、2000年にオランダの青少年オーケストラの指揮者を務めた。アムステルダムのコンセルトヘボウでのロベコ・サマー・コンサートで、メトロポール・オーケストラを指揮して、CDとDVDの録音を行った。2006/2007年のシーズンからティルブルフのマゴゴ室内管弦楽団の主任指揮者を務めている。南アフリカの他に、ブラジル、ドイツ、ハンガリー、ギリシャ、オーストリア、スロベニア、トルコ、スウェーデン、スイスでコンサートを行った。オランダでは、オランダ空軍のチャペル、東部管弦楽団、オランダ放送フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、ヘットゲルダース・オーケストを指揮。とりわけ、ワーグナーによる「Deux Entr'actes Tragiques」の世界初演、プーランクによるレ・アニモー・モデールのオランダ初演を指揮した。オペラの指揮者としても活躍し、オッフェンバッハ、モニーク・クルス、ヴェルディの作品を指揮している。2017年以来、アルヤンティエンは、オランダ王立海軍のバンドの主任指揮者、芸術監督を務めている。ティルブルフのフォンティス芸術学校でオーケストラ指揮の教授を務め、後進の指導に当たっている。
