指揮者
Michel Plasson (ミシェル・プラッソン)。フランスの男性指揮者。1933年10月2日生まれ。
フランス・パリ出身。パリ国立高等音楽院でラザール・レヴィに師事した。1962年、ブザンソン国際青年指揮者コンクールで入賞。米国に短期留学し、シャルル・ミュンヒに師事した。メス市の音楽監督を3年間務めた。1968年、トゥールーズ・キャピトル管弦楽団の首席指揮者に就任。2003年に首席指揮者を辞し、現在は名誉指揮者の称号を持っている。1994年から2001年までドレスデン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団の首席指揮者を務めた。ジュネーブ大劇場、オランダ・オペラ座（アムステルダム）、コヴェント・ガーデン王立歌劇場で指揮も行った。プラッソンの息子エマニュエル・プラッソンも指揮者である。録音は、主にEMI/ヴァージンから、フランスの作曲家の作品を中心に行われた。その中でも、オッフェンバック、グノー、マスネのオペラ作品におけるプラッソンの解釈は、批評家から高く評価されている。
