Philippe Herreweghe (フィリップ・ヘレヴェッヘ)。ベルギーの男性指揮者。1947年5月2日生まれ。
ヨハン・セバスチャン・バッハの音楽の指揮者として知られる。ベルギーのゲントで生まれ。母親からピアノを習い始めた。ゲント大学での彼の学生時代、医学と精神医学の研究をゲント音楽院での音楽教育と組み合わせて学んだ。ゲント大学では、ユーディ・メニューインの伴奏者であるマルセル・ガゼルに師事。1970年に仲間の学生のグループと一緒にコレギウム・ヴォカーレ・ゲントを設立。ニコラウス・アーノンクールとグスタフ・レオンハルトはヘレヴェッヘの音楽的アプローチに気づき、コレギウム・ヴォカーレ・ゲントをバッハのカンタータの全曲録音に参加させた。バロック音楽へのヘレヴェッヘのアプローチはすぐに賞賛を集め、1977年にフランスの黄金時代の音楽を演奏するために、パリに別のアンサンブル、ラ・シャペル・ロワイヤルを設立した。1982年から2002年までAcademies Musicales de Saintesの芸術監督を務めた。他のグループやアンサンブルを立ち上げ、ルネッサンスから現代音楽に至るまで、歴史的に適切でよく考えられたレパートリーの解釈を行った。それらには、ルネッサンスのポリフォニーを専門とするアンサンブル・ボーカル・ユーロペンや、1991年にオリジナルの楽器でクラシックとロマン派のレパートリーを演奏することを目的としたシャンゼリゼ管弦楽団を設立した。2009年以来、ヘレヴェッヘとコレギウム・ヴォカーレ・ゲントは、シエナの有名なアカデミア・ミュージカル・チジアナ(Chigiana Musical Academy(の招待を受け、2011年以降、欧州連合の文化プログラムの支援を受けて、ヨーロッパレベルの大規模な交響合唱団の育成に積極的に取り組んでいる。ベートーベンからマーラーまで交響曲の演奏に積極的に取り組んできた。1997年からロイヤル・フレミッシュ・フィルハーモニーの主席指揮者を務めている。ロイヤルコンセルトヘボウ管弦楽団、スタヴァンゲル交響楽団、ロッテルダムフィルハーモニー管弦楽団、オランダ放送管弦楽団、マーラー室内管弦楽団、ベルリンおよびウィーンフィルハーモニー管弦楽団を含む多くの有名なオーケストラの客員指揮者を務めた。サント・フェスティバルの芸術監督であり、2008年から2013年までオランダ放送室内フィルハーモニー管弦楽団の常任客員指揮者を務めた。
