Vladimir Jurowski (ウラディーミル・ユロフス)。ロシアの男性指揮者。1972年4月4日生まれ。
父親は指揮者ミハイル・ユロフスキの息子、祖父はソビエト映画音楽作曲家ウラジーミル・ミハイロヴィッチ・ユロフスキ。現在はベルリン在住。モスクワで生まれ、モスクワ音楽院で音楽の勉強を始める。1990年、兄のドミトリー（指揮者）、妹のマリア（ピアニスト）ら家族とともにドイツに移住し、ドレスデン音楽大学、ハンス・アイスラー音楽大学で教育を受ける。指揮をロルフ・ロイターに、声楽指導をセミオン・スキギンに師事した。1991年にサー・コリン・デイヴィスの指揮マスタークラスに参加し、シベリウスの交響曲第7番を演奏した。1995年にウェックスフォード音楽祭でニコライ・リムスキー＝コルサコフのオペラ『五月夜』を指揮して国際舞台に登場し、翌年にはジャコモ・マイヤベーアの『北のエトワール』で再び登場、ナクソス・レコードに収録された。1996年4月、コヴェント・ガーデンのロイヤル・オペラ・ハウスで『ナブッコ』を指揮してデビューした。1996/1997年シーズンには、ベルリン・コミッシェ・オペラのアンサンブルにヤコフ・クライツベルクのアシスタントおよび第2カペルマイスターとして参加し、1年後に第1カペルマイスターの称号を受け、2001年まで務めた。2000年から2003年までボローニャ市立劇場の首席客演指揮者を務めた。2000年8月、グラインドボーン祝祭オペラの音楽監督に任命された。2001年12月にロンドン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団（LPO）で指揮デビュー。2003年にはLPOの首席客演指揮者に任命された。2006年5月、2007/2008年のシーズンからLPOの第11代首席指揮者に就任することが発表された。2007年5月、2007年度ロイヤル・フィルハーモニー協会音楽賞（年間最優秀指揮者賞）を受賞した。2010年5月、LPOは首席指揮者としての契約を2014-15年シーズンまで延長することを発表し、2014年9月にさらに首席指揮者としての契約を2018年までさらに延長することを発表した。2020-2021年シーズンの終了をもってLPOの首席指揮者を退任した。2021年8月、王立フィルハーモニー協会から、LPOの首席指揮者としての最後の演奏会に際して、2021年度の王立フィルハーモニー協会ゴールドメダルを授与された。ロシアでは、ロシア国立管弦楽団指揮者コレギウムのメンバーを務めている。2011年から2021年まで、ロシア連邦国立アカデミック交響楽団の首席指揮者を務めた。2015年9月、ベルリン放送交響楽団は、2017-2018年シーズンから次期首席指揮者に任命したことを発表した。ベルリン放送交響楽団は、2019年4月に契約を2022-2023年シーズンまで延長すると発表し、2021年6月には、契約をさらに2027年8月31日まで延長することを発表した。2018年3月、バイエルン州立歌劇場は、2021-2022年シーズンから次期総指揮者に任命することを発表した。アメリカでは、1999年12月にメトロポリタン歌劇場で初めて指揮をした。 2005年10月にフィラデルフィア管弦楽団で指揮デビューし、高い評価を受けた。2007年2月に再びフィラデルフィアに客演指揮し、以後、客演指揮者としてたびたび登場した。
