Inbal Segev (インバル・セゲフ)。イスラエルの女性チェリスト。1974年生まれ。
イスラエル出身。5歳でチェロを始め、16歳でアイザック・スターンに招かれ、アルド・パリソ、ジョエル・クロスニック、ハーヴェイ・シャピロ、ボザール・トリオの各氏にチェロを師事。16歳でアイザック・スターンの招きで渡米し、アルド・パリソ、ジョエル・クロスニック、ハーヴェイ・シャピロ、ボザール・トリオの共同創設者バーナード・グリーンハウスにチェロを学び、イェール大学およびジュリアード音楽院で学位を取得。ズービン・メータ指揮のベルリン・フィルとイスラエル・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団で協奏曲デビューし、国際的に注目されるようになった。以来、ロンドン・フィル、リヨン国立管、ドルトムント・フィル、ピッツバーグ響、ボルチモア響、セントルイス響などの一流オーケストラにソリストとして出演し、マリン・アルソップ、ステファン・ドネルヴェ、ロリン・マゼール、クリスティアン・マセラル、ズービン・メータら世界の一流指揮者と共演している。ボルチモア交響楽団のニューミュージック・フェスティバルを2017年の発足時から共同キュレーションしている。米国、イスラエルなどの重要な現代作曲家による新作の委嘱、初演、録音を行っている。最近では、「20 for 2020」プロジェクトを立ち上げ、ヴィジェイ・アイヤー、ヴィエット・クオン、ジョン・ルーサー・アダムスなどの20人の作曲家に新しい室内楽作品を委嘱し、音楽ビデオシリーズと4巻セットのアヴィ・レコードからリリースしている。その他のプロジェクトとしては、セゲヴが共同委嘱し、クリスティアン・マセラル指揮の下、カリフォルニアのカブリヨ現代音楽祭（2019年）で初演したアンナ・クラインの協奏曲『DANCE』とマリン・アルソップおよびロンドン・フィルハーモニック管とエルガーのチェロ協奏曲を収録したアルバムをアヴィからリリースしている。アルバムはAmazonクラシック・コンチェルト・チャートで首位を獲得し、ガーディアン紙やBBCラジオ3などから熱烈な賞賛を受けた。また、アヴナー・ドーマンのチェロ協奏曲をアンカレッジ交響楽団と共同委嘱・初演（2012年）、コロンビア大学でパオラ・プレスティーニの『オチェーノ』の委嘱・初演（2014年）、ルーカス・リッチマンの『Declaration』を作曲者自身の指揮のもとピッツバーグ交響楽団での初演・録音（2015年）、ブルックリンのNational SawdustでGity Razazのマルチメディア作品『Legend of Sigh』を委嘱・初演（2015年）、カリフォルニア交響楽団とダン・ヴィスコンティのチェロ協奏曲の初演（2017年）、ニューヨークのメトロポリタン美術館でティモ・アンドレスの協奏曲『Upstate Obscura』の世界初演（2018年）などがある。アーサー・サリヴァン卿の遺作となったチェロ協奏曲を米国で初演し、アルバニー交響楽団とは、24年前にヨーヨー・マによって初演されて以来となる、クリストファー・ラウスのチェロ協奏曲を初演している。バッハの無伴奏チェロ組曲を全曲録音し、2015年にVox Classicsからリリースした。ピアニストのユホ・ポホヨネンと共演したシューマン、ショパン、グリーグのロマンティック・プログラム（Avie、2018）、アメリゴ・トリオと共演したドホナーニのセレナーデ（Navona、2011）、ピアニストのリチャード・ビショップを共演したベートーヴェンとボッケリーニのチェロ・ソナタ（Opus One、2000）などがある。また、リチャード・ギアとジュリエット・ビノシュが主演した2005年の長編映画『Bee Season』のサウンドトラックで、ピーター・ナーシェの音楽を演奏している。ニューヨークのリンカーン・センター、メトロポリタン美術館から上海コンサートホール、エルサレム劇場まで、国際的な会場でバッハのチェロ組曲のソロ演奏を行っている。ニューヨークのアリス・タリーホールとマーキンコンサートホール、ブルックリンのナショナル・ソーダスト、ロサンゼルスのウォルト・ディズニー・コンサートホール、シカゴのハリスシアター、ボゴタのテアトロ・マヨールにも出演。室内楽にも熱心で、リンカーン・センター室内楽協会と国際ツアーを行い、エマニュエル・アックス、ジェレミー・デンク、アンソニー・マクギル、ジェイソン・ヴィオー、フォーグラークァルテットなどと共演してきた。元ニューヨーク・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団コンサートマスターのグレン・ディクテロウ、ヴィオリストのカレン・ドレフュスとともに、アメリゴ・トリオの創設メンバーでもある。自身のYouTubeチャンネルでは、マスタークラス・シリーズ「Musings with Inbal Segev」が人気を博している。
