Mischa Maisky (ミッシャ・マイスキー)

Mischa Maisky (ミッシャ・マイスキー)。イスラエルの男性チェリスト。1948年1月10日生まれ。
旧ソ連で現ラトヴィア共和国のリガ出身。1966年から1970年までモスクワ音楽院でムスティスラフ・ロストロポーヴィチの指導を受けた。1966年、モスクワのチャイコフスキー国際コンクールで6位入賞。1970年に逮捕され、18ヶ月間の刑務所とワークキャンプ、その後2ヶ月間の精神病院での生活を経験する。1972年にイスラエルに移住し、市民権を得た。1974年にはロサンゼルスでグレゴール・ピアティゴルスキーに師事。現在ベルギーに在住している。ピアニストのマルタ・アルゲリッチ、カティア・ブニアティシヴィリ、ラドゥ・ルプ、ネルソン・フレイレ、ピーター・ゼルキン、エフゲニー・キーシン、ランラン、セルジオ・ティエンポ、ヴァイオリニストのギドン・クレーメル、イツァーク・パールマン、ヴァディム・レーピン、マキシム・ヴェンゲーロフ、ジョシュア・ベル、ジュリアン・ラクリン、ジャニーン・ヤンセンらと共演してきた。指揮者では、レナード・バーンスタイン、ズービン・メータ、カルロ・マリア・ジュリーニ、ロリン・マゼール、リッカルド・ムーティ、ジュゼッペ・シノーポリ、ユーリ・テミルカーノフ、ウラディーミル・アシュケナージ、ダニエル・バレンボイム、ジェームズ・レヴァイン、チャールズ・デュトワ、マリス・ヤンソンス、バレリー・ゲルギエフ、グスタヴォ・ドゥダメルらと共演している。1973年にカーネギーホールでアメリカ初公演を行い、1976年にはロンドンで初公演、1977年にはラドゥ・ルプとリサイタルを行った。1995年にロシア国立オーケストラとミハイル・プレトネフと共に演奏、録音した。2021年にドイツ・グラモフォンより全録音CD44枚組のボックスがリリースされている。
