Sol Gabetta (ソル・ガベッタ)

Sol Gabetta (ソル・ガベッタ)。アルゼンチンの女性チェリスト。1981年4月18日生まれ。
3歳でヴァイオリンを、4歳でチェロを習い始めた。8歳まで両方の楽器を学んだ後、チェロに専念。10歳で最初のコンクールに優勝し、すぐにナターリヤ・グートマン賞を受賞した。クリスティーヌ・ワレスカ、レオ・ヴィオラ、レイナ・ソフィア音楽院のイヴァン・モニゲッティ、ピエロ・ファルッリ、リェルコ・スピラーらに師事。2004年にはクレディ・スイス・ヤング・アーティスト賞を受賞。2006年、自身の音楽祭「フェスティバル・ソルスベルク」を創設。2014年のバーデンバーデン・イースター音楽祭でベルリン・フィルとサー・サイモン・ラトルとデビュー、2014年12月にベルリン・シュターツカペレとデビュー。2014年夏にはシュレスヴィヒ＝ホルシュタイン音楽祭のアーティスト・イン・レジデンスを務めたほか、フィルハーモニーとコンツェルトハウス・ベルリンでアーティスティック・レジデンスを行った。2018年にはザルツブルク・イースター音楽祭でヘルベルト・フォン・カラヤン賞を受賞。2010年にグラモフォン賞ヤング・アーティスト・オブ・ザ・イヤー、2012年にドイツ・ジュネス・ミュジカルのヴュルト賞を受賞。2007年、2009年、2013年にエコー・クラシック賞を受賞し、2013年には年間最優秀器楽奏者に選出された。ハイドン、モーツァルト、エルガーのチェロ協奏曲、チャイコフスキーとジナステラの作品の録音でディアパゾン・ドールを受賞。ソニーとドイツ・グラモフォンのコマーシャル・レコーディングにも参加している。ガベッタのために作曲した現代の作曲家としては、ガベッタとアムステルダム・シンフォニエッタのために《Up-close》を作曲したミシェル・ファン・デル・アー、ガベッタのためにチェロ協奏曲《Presence》を作曲したペーテリス・ヴァスクスらがいる。2015年11月、ヴァスクスの音楽を集めたアルバム『プレゼンス』がリリースされ、アルバムにはチェロ協奏曲「プレゼンス」と、娘と母が共演したオルガンとチェロのための「ムジーク・デュ・ソワール」が収録されている。スイス在住で、2005年よりバーゼル音楽アカデミーでチェロを教えている。バイエルン放送（BR-Klassik）の番組「KlickKlack」のレギュラー司会者も務めている。
