Alexander Melnikov (アレクサンドル・メルニコフ)

Alexander Melnikov (アレクサンドル・メルニコフ)。ロシアの男性ピアニスト。1973年生まれ。

モスクワ音楽院でレフ・ナウモフに師事。スヴャトスラフ・リヒテルと親交があり、たびたびロシアやフランスで開催された音楽会に招待されている。1989年のピアニストと歌手のためのロバートシューマン国際コンクールで第3位、1991年のエリザベート王妃国際コンクール第5位受賞。古楽器演奏に若い頃から取り組んでおり、コンチェルト・ケルン、ベルリン古楽アカデミーに定期的に参加している。チェロ奏者のアレクサンドル・ルディン、ジャン＝ギアン・ケラスらと共演している。2010年にヴァイオリニストのイザベル・ファウストとがベートーヴェンのヴァイオリンソナタ全曲録音で共演し、その録音はグラモフォン・アワードとエコー賞の両方を受賞し、高い評価を受けた。ショスタコーヴィチのプレリュードとフーガの全曲録音でも高い評価を受けている。NHK交響楽団、ロイヤル・コンセルトヘボウ管弦楽団、ロシア・ナショナル管弦楽団、BBCフィルハーモニックなど世界各国の著名なオーケストラと数多く共演している。航空機にも興味を持っており、個人パイロットの資格を持っている。
