Andre Previn (アンドレ・プレヴィン)。ドイツの男性ピアニスト。1929年4月6日生まれ。2019年2月28日没。
ドイツ系アメリカ人。シャーロットとジャック・プレヴィンの間の3人の子供の次男として生まれた。3人ともピアノのレッスンを受けていたが、プレヴィンは最も才能を発揮した。1938年、家族はアメリカのビザを申請していたが、ビザ取得までの9ヶ月間に、ベルリンからパリに向かった。プレヴィンの父は息子をパリ音楽院に入学させ、アンドレは音楽理論を学んだ。1938年10月にニューヨークへ向けて出航し、1943年にアメリカに帰化した。1946年にビバリーヒルズ高校を卒業、その式典でリチャード・M・シャーマンと共演、シャーマンの伴奏でプレヴィンがピアノを演奏した。ハリウッド、ジャズ、クラシック音楽の3つのジャンルで活躍した。映画では、編曲と作曲を担当した。ジャズでは、有名なトリオピアニスト、スタンダード曲の歌手のピアノ伴奏者、「グレート・アメリカン・ソングブック」の曲のピアニスト・インタープリターとして知られた。クラシック音楽では、ピアニスト、指揮者として活躍し、晩年の30年間は芸術音楽の作曲家として多くの遺産を築いた。 20歳を前にして、プレヴィンはメトロ・ゴールドウィン・メイヤー社のために編曲と作曲を始めた。その後、50本以上の映画の音楽に携わり、アカデミー賞を4回受賞した。グラミー賞も3つの分野の録音で10回、さらに生涯功労賞で1回受賞している。ヒューストン交響楽団の音楽監督（1967-1969）、ロンドン交響楽団の首席指揮者（1968-1979）、ピッツバーグ交響楽団の音楽監督（1976-1984）、ロサンゼルス・フィルハーモニックの音楽監督（1985-1989）、ロイヤル・フィルの首席指揮者（1985-1992）、オスロ・フィルハーモニック（2002-2006）の首席指揮者などを歴任。また、ウィーン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団とも深い関係を築いた。
