ピアニスト
Eric Lu (エリック・ルー)。アメリカの男性ピアニスト。1997年12月15日生まれ。
高雄と上海からの移民の両親のもとに生まれる。マサチューセッツ州ベルフォードで育ち、6歳からピアノを始める。2013年にカーティス音楽院へ入学し、ジョナサン・ビス、ロバート・マクドナルドにピアノを師事。ダン・タイ・ソンにも師事した。2015年のポーランド・ワルシャワで開催された第17回ショパン国際ピアノコンクールで第4位を獲得し、コンクール史上最も若い受賞者のひとりとなった。直後、ポーランドのドゥシュニキで開催された第70回国際ショパン音楽祭でデビューを果たした。2016年1月に同コンクールの他の入賞者と共にワルシャワフィルハーモニー管弦楽団と日本・韓国ツアーを行った。2017年、フランクフルトでドイツ国際ピアノ賞、および聴衆賞を受賞。2018年、リーズ国際ピアノ・コンクールでアメリカのピアニストとしては、マレー・ペラヒア以来となる第1位と金メダルを獲得した。優勝後、すぐにアスコナス・ホルトとワーナー・クラシックスと契約した。リーズ優勝後の最初のコンサートでは、ロイヤル・リヴァプール・フィルハーモニック管弦楽団とワシリー・ペトレンコとの共演でデビューを飾った。その後、ウィグモアホール、アムステルダム・コンセルトヘボウ、パリのルイ・ヴィトン財団、サンクトペテルブルク・フィルハーモニア、上海大劇場などでリサイタルを行った。2019年6月、Luはマルタ・アルゲリッチの代わりにシンガポール交響楽団とのコンサートに出演した。同年にロンドンのロイヤル・アルバート・ホールで開催されたBBCプロムスで、上海交響楽団とユー・ロンと共にデビューを果たした。2025年のショパンコンクールで優勝。
