Karine Poghosyan (カリーネ・ポゴシアン)

Karine Poghosyan (カリーネ・ポゴシアン)。アルメニアの女性ピアニスト。1973年5月27日生まれ。
アルメニアのエレバン生まれ。地元のエレバンでピアノを始める。1998年にアメリカへ移住し、カリフォルニア州立大学でフランソワ・レグナット(Francoise Regnat)の下で学士号、マンハッタン音楽学校でアリカディ・アロノフ(Arkady Aronov)の下で修士号と博士号を取得した。アリシア・デ・ラローチャ、ジョン・オコーナー、ジェローム・ローズらのマスタークラスにも参加した。現在はマンハッタン音楽学校でピアノを教えている。教え子にはシンガーソングライターのチャーリー・プースがいる。ロサンゼルス国際リストピアノコンクール、アルメニアの作曲家のアルノ・ババジャニアンの名を冠したアルノ・ババジャニアン・ピアノコンクールで優勝。14歳の時ベートーヴェンのピアノ協奏曲第1番を演奏してオーケストラデビュー。23歳の時、カーネギー・ホールでデビュー。2007年にヤマハ・ピアノサロンで「20世紀のピアノソナタ」と題したコンサートシリーズを開催。同年、95回目となる聖ヴァルタン・アルメニア大聖堂でのアルメニア人虐殺の鎮魂と復興のためのコンサートをニューヨークで行った。そのコンサートでのハチャトゥリアンのソナタの演奏は非常に高く評価された。これまでにロサンゼルスのニュー・ウェスト・シンフォニー、パーク・アヴェニュー室内管弦楽団などと共演。2014年にアラム・ハチャトゥリアンのピアノ作品とバレエ作品の編曲を収録したアルバムをNaxosよりリリース。
