Kenny Broberg (ケニー・ブロバーグ)
ピアニスト
Kenny Broberg (ケニー・ブロバーグ)。アメリカの男性ピアニスト。1993年8月2日生まれ。
6歳のとき、家族のアップライトピアノでピアノのレッスンを始めた。ミネアポリスでの幼少期には、セントポールのクロッカス・ヒル・スタジオでジョセフ・ジンズにピアノを習い始めた。高校時代は、野球とホッケーに打ち込み、音楽のレッスンと両立させた。現在もミネソタ・ツインズとワイルドの熱烈なファンで、練習の合間にもスコアをチェックしている。2017年ヴァン・クライバーン国際ピアノ・コンクールで銀メダル、2019年チャイコフスキー国際コンクールで銅メダルを獲得したほか、ヘイスティングス、シドニー、シアトル、ニューオーリンズ国際ピアノ・コンクールで入賞。2021年アメリカン・ピアニスト・アワードとクリステル・デハーン・クラシック・フェローシップを受賞。2016年、ヒューストン大学ムーア音楽院でナンシー・ウィームズに師事し、音楽学士号を取得した。その後もミズーリ州パークヴィルにあるパーク大学で、2001年ヴァン・クライバーン国際ピアノ・コンクールの金メダリスト、スタニスラフ・ユデニッチに師事した。2022-2023年度からは、マドリードのレイナ・ソフィア音楽院でイウデニッチ率いるバンコ・サンタンデール・ピアノ講座の副教授を務めている。ヨーロッパ、アジア、オーストラリア、北米のステージやコンサートホールで演奏を行っており、ルドヴィク・モルロ、ケント・ナガノ、レナード・スラットキン、ワシリー・ペトレンコ、ニコラス・ミルトン、ジョン・ストルゴーズ、カルロス・ミゲル・プリエト、ジェラール・シュヴァルツ、スティリアン・キーロフなどの指揮者たちと共演している。ロイヤル・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、ミネソタ、インディアナポリス、カンザスシティ、シドニー、シアトル、フォートワース交響楽団などのオーケストラと共演している。WQXR、Performance Today、ミネソタ・パブリック・ラジオ、ABC（オーストラリア）のラジオで取り上げられ、2021年3月にはNPRでオリジナル曲「Barcarolle」を発表した。2023年にスタインウェイ＆サンズ・レーベルからメトネル、ラフマニノフ、スクリャービンのソナタをリリース。また同年、ヴァイオリニストのマリア・イオウデニッチとともにクララ・シューマン、メンデルスゾーン、チャイコフスキー、メトネル、ラフマニノフ、グリンカ、シューベルト、ビーチらの作品を収録したアルバム「Songbird」をリリース。
