Krystian Zimerman (クリスティアン・ツィマーマン)
ピアニスト
Krystian Zimerman (クリスティアン・ツィマーマン)。ポーランドの男性ピアニスト。1956年12月5日生まれ。
ポーランドのザブジェ生まれ。ポーランドのカトヴィツェにあるカロル・シマノフスキー音楽アカデミーでアンジェイ・ヤシンスキの下でピアノを学んだ。1975年の第9回チャイコフスキーピアノコンクールで優勝。1976年にヘルベルト・ブロムシュテット指揮のベルリン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団と共演してデビュー。1996年よりバーゼルの音楽アカデミーでピアノを教えている。特にロマン派の演奏で有名だが、現代作曲家の演奏にも力を入れており、ポーランドの作曲家のヴィトルト・ルトスワフスキがツィマーマンのために作曲したピアノ協奏曲の演奏を行っている。2011年の東日本大震災当時は東京におり、実際に体験した震災、報道された津波、原発事故に衝撃を受け、以後、被災者支援のチャリティコンサート・リサイタルを積極的に行った。
