ピアニスト
Paul Stewart (ポール・スチュワート)。カナダの男性ピアニスト。1960年生まれ。
ニューグラスゴーで育つ。5歳からピアノを始める。18歳の時、モントリオールのマギル大学でチャールズ・ライナーに、ロンドンでケンドール・テイラー、イタリアでアルトゥーロ・ベネデッティ・ミケランジェリに師事した。1981年にトロント交響楽団と共演してオーケストラデビュー。1996年にはロンドンのウィグモアホールでデビュ０、さらにモスクワ音楽院でモスクワ放送交響楽団と共演してラフマニノフのピアノ協奏曲第4番を演奏した。ソリスト、室内楽演奏者として、カナダ、アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、アジアで演奏活動を行っている。録音ではベンジャミン・ブリテン、シューベルトの作品やラフマニノフのピアノ協奏曲第4番をリリースしている。ニコライ・メトネルのピアノとヴァイオリンのための作品の全曲録音は名高い。2002年よりモントリオール大学でピアノの教授を務めている。
