Rudolf Serkin (ルドルフ・ゼルキン)。チェコの男性ピアニスト。1903年3月28日生まれ。
ボヘミア生まれ。ベートーヴェンの演奏において20世紀を代表するピアニストとして知られる。天才児として9歳で、ウィーンに送られ、リチャード・ロバートの下でピアノの研鑽を積んだ。12歳でウィーンフィルと協演しソロデビュー。1918年から1920年の間、アルノルト・シェーンベルクの下で作曲を学んだ。1921年に17歳の時、ベルリンでデビュー。1939年の第2次世界大戦の開戦とともにアメリカへ移住。以後、フィラデルフィアのカーティス音楽院で長年にわたってピアニストを育てた。
