Vassily Primakov (ヴァシリー・プリマコフ)

Vassily Primakov (ヴァシリー・プリマコフ)。ロシアの男性ピアニスト。1979年生まれ。
モスクワ生まれ。11歳でモスクワの中央音楽学校に入学し、ヴェラ・ゴルノスタエワに師事した。その後、サンタバーバラのMusic Academy of the West、ニューヨークのジュリアード音楽院でジェローム・ローウェンタールに師事。1999年、クリーブランド国際ピアノコンクールで第2位、2001年にはヴァン・クライバーンコンクールでセミファイナリストに選ばれた。また、2002年ジーナ・バッカウアー国際ピアノコンクールでは銀賞と聴衆賞を受賞した。 2007年には、クラシック・レコーディング・ファンデーションからヤング・アーティスト・オブ・ザ・イヤー賞を受賞した。また、ショパンの「21のマズルカ」を収録したディスクは、ナショナル・パブリック・ラジオ（2009年）の「ベスト・オブ・イヤー」に選ばれた。2011年には、デュオのパートナーであるナタリア・ラヴローヴァとともに、新しいレコードレーベル「LPクラシックス・ホーム」を立ち上げ、アレンスキーの「2台のピアノのための組曲」や、恩師であるソ連のピアニスト、ヴェラ・ゴルノスタエワのライブ盤第1巻などをリリースしている。
