William Kapell (ウィリアム・カペル)。アメリカの男性ピアニスト。1922年9月20日生まれ。1953年10月29日没。
ロシア系ユダヤ人の家系にニューヨークで生まれる。フィラデルフィア音楽院でピアニストのオルガ・サマロフに師事。1941年にフィラデルフィア管弦楽団の若手コンクールで優勝、さらにナウムブルク賞を受賞。30代前半で注目されるようになり、アラム・ハチャトゥリアンのピアノ協奏曲の演奏で高い評価を得た。1940年代後半までにアメリカ、ヨーロッパ、オーストラリアでツアーを行った。パブロ・カザルスとルドルフ・ゼルキンらとも共演した。傑出したピアニストでさらなる活躍を期待されたが、1953年10月29日に飛行機事故で亡くなった。ショパンのマズルカ、ソナタ、ラフマニノフのピアノ協奏曲の録音がRCAよりリリースされている。
