John Chen (ジョン・チェン)
ピアニスト
John Chen (ジョン・チェン)。マレーシアの男性ピアニスト。1986年6月10日生まれ。
マレーシアのクアラルンプール生まれのニュージーランド人。2004年、シドニー国際ピアノコンクールで史上最年少優勝。その後のオーストラリアでのコンサートツアーでは、31回のリサイタルを行い、クラシック音楽家によるオーストラリアでの最長ツアーとなった。オークランド大学で音楽修士号を取得し、ライ・ドゥ・ライルに師事した。オーストラリアとニュージーランドの主要な交響楽団のほとんどと共演し、ナクソスとABCクラシックスにそれぞれアンリ・デュティユーとクロード・ドビュッシーの録音をリリースしている。2012年8月2日、ザンビアを訪問した際、ムクシのチェンジェロ・スクールで演奏した。
