ピアニスト
Roland Batik (ローランド・バティック)。オーストリアの男性ピアニスト。1951年8月19日生まれ。
ウィーン生まれ。作曲家、クラシックだけでなくジャズの演奏家としても活躍。ウィーン音楽・表現芸術大学でピアノを学ぶ。その後、フリードリヒ・グルダに師事。ジャズピアノをフリッツ・パウアーに師事。1975年にウィーン楽友協会でデビュー。フリードリヒ・グルダの息子のピアニスト、ポール・グルダとピアノデュオを1982年に結成し成功を収めた。1988年にデュオを解消。以降、自身の作曲した作品とクラシック作品を組み合わせた独自の演奏スタイルを確立した。1977年にはジャズのピアノトリオを結成し、精力的に演奏活動を行った。ウィーン・コンツェルトハウスで自身の作曲したピアノ協奏曲の初演を行った。2005年5月ののフリードリヒ・グルダの75歳の誕生日でも演奏を披露し、大きな成功を収めた。録音ではバッハ、モーツァルト、バティック自身の作品のアルバムをリリースしている。特に1991年のモーツァルトのピアノソナタ全曲録音は、Wiener Flötenuhrを受賞している。1999年にはハイドンのピアノソナタ全曲録音を完成させている。
