Sonya Ovrutsky (ソニヤ・オヴルーツキー)。ロシアの女性ピアニスト。
ロシア・モスクワのクラシック音楽一家に生まれ、5歳よりピアノを始める。15歳のとき、イタリアのセニガリア国際ピアノコンクールで優勝し、世界的に知られるようになる。ジュリアード音楽院に奨学生として招かれ、ピアノ演奏の学士号と修士号を取得。ピアノをハーバート・ステッサン、室内楽をフェリックス・ガリミールに師事した。マサチューセッツ州ウスターのカレッジ・オブ・ザ・ホーリークロスの教授、ボストンのM. Steinert and Sons Piano Academyのディレクターを務めている。バロックから21世紀まで、幅広いピアノレパートリーを持ち。アルバム「Dreams in Black and White」はApple MusicやSpotifyなど多くのプラットフォームでストリーミング配信されており、YouTubeチャンネル「From My Piano Room」は世界的に認知されている。ニューヨークのカーネギー・コンサートホールやリンカーン・センター、フィラデルフィアのキンメル・センター、アスペン音楽祭、ブリュッセルの宮殿、ルツェルン音楽祭など、アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、ロシア、南アフリカの主要都市で演奏している。ソリストとして、アスペン祝祭管弦楽団、リノ・フィルハーモニック、スイスのヌーシャテル祝祭管弦楽団と共演した。世界的に有名なヴァイオリニスト、サラ・チャンとリサイタルを行い、弟のヴァイオリニスト、ミハイル・オヴルーツキーとコラボレーションしている。また、ザハール・ブロン、ドロシー・ディレイ、マウリシオ・フックス、イツァーク・パールマン、ヴァディム・レーピン、ピンチャス・ズーカーマンのマスタークラスや個人レッスンに協力ピアニストとして参加している。アスペン音楽祭コンクールやニューヨークのコンサート・アーティスト・コンクールなど、数々のコンクールで受賞。ベルリン・クラシックスで録音されたミハイル・オヴルーツキーとのデュオCD「Turning Points」は、優れた評価を得ており、RBB Kulturradioの「CD of the Week」に選出された。夫と息子とともにボストン近郊で暮らしている。
