ピアニスト
Geoffrey Parsons (ジェフリー・パーソンズ)。オーストラリアの男性ピアニスト。1929年6月15日生まれ。1995年1月26日没。
シドニー生まれ。オペラ歌手のエリーザベト・シュヴァルツコップと数多く共演し、録音も数多くリリースしている。1947年のABC楽器・声楽コンクールでブラームスのピアノ協奏曲第2番を演奏して優勝。1948年に歌手のエッシー・アックランド(Essie Ackland)とともにオーストラリアでツアーを行った。1950年にはバリトン歌手のピーター ・ ドーソンとともにイギリスで演奏ツアーを行った。オペラ歌手では、エリザベート・シュワルツコップ、ジョアン・ハモンド、ビクトリア・デ・ロス・アンヘレス、ニコライ・ゲッダら、ヴァイオリニストでは、ナタン・ミルシテイン、ルッジェーロ・リッチ、ワンダ・ウィウコミルスカ、イダ・ヘンデルらと共演。チェリストでは、ポール・トルトゥリエらと共演している。1975年には英国王立音楽アカデミーの名誉会員に選出されている。1990めっもはオーストラリア勲章を受賞。
