ピアニスト
Michel Beroff (ミシェル・ベロフ)。フランスの男性ピアニスト。1950年5月9日生まれ。
フランスのエピナル生まれ。ナンシー音楽院でピアノを学んだ。パリ国立高等音楽・舞踊学校でイヴォンヌ・ロリオに師事。1966年に1等賞の成績で卒業。1967年にパリでデビューし、同年、ロワイヤンのメシアンコンクールで第1位を受賞。以降、世界各地で演奏ツアーを行った。1972年と1975年には南アフリカツアーを行った。EMIからリスト、プロコフィエフ、ストラヴィンスキー、ヨハン・セバスティアン・バッハ、ドビュッシー、バルトーク、メシアンの録音をリリースしている。特にメシアンの音楽解釈については第一人者として高く評価されている。1996年にはドビュッシーの作品演奏を中心に日本ツアーを行い、DENONレーベルから録音もリリース下。指揮者としても活躍し、日本ではNHK交響楽団、新日本交響楽団、新資本フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、大阪フィルハーモニー管弦楽団を指揮している。教え子には、チョ・ソンジンらがいる。
