ヴァイオリニスト
Irina Muresanu (イリーナ・ムレサヌ)。アメリカの女性ヴァイオリニスト。1971年5月26日生まれ。
ニューイングランド音楽院でアーティスト・ディプロマと音楽芸術博士の学位を取得した。Covid-19の流行期間中も、ヴァーチャル・ポータルを通じて芸術活動に積極的に取り組み、「Notes of Hope」（最前線の医療従事者のための音楽シリーズ）や「Close Encounters with Music」「Bach, Dancing and Dynamite」「Allen Town Symphony」などのいくつかのヴァーチャル音楽祭やコンサートシリーズでソロや室内楽のライブストリームや放送を行っている。また、マスタークラス（「Musicians for the World」）やフェスティバル（ARIA International Academy、Berkshire High Peaks）を通じて、多くの若い音楽家と国内外をつなぐ活動を行っている。Sono Luminusレーベルから2018年にリリースされたCD「FOUR STRINGS AROUND THE WORLD」はグラミー賞にノミネートされた。「FOUR STRINGS AROUND THE WORLD」でメリーランド大学高等コンピュータ研究所とのバーチャル・リアリティのコラボレーションを行った。バーチャル・リアリティのコラボレーションは、ニコロ・パガニーニのカプリス24番やJ.S.バッハのシャコンヌ ニ短調などの定番作品のほか、インドの作曲家Shirish Kordeやネイティブアメリカンの作曲家Jerod 'Impichchaachaaha' Tateなどの委嘱新作にも広がりを見せている。2021年にはナイジェリアの作曲家フレッド・オノヴウェロスオケとイランの作曲家サナム・ガラーチェが新しいソロ作品を彼女に捧げている。ニューヨークのバーゲミュージック、マサチューセッツのロックポートフェスティバル、メイン州のベイチェンバーズ・コンサートシリーズ、ボウディンフェスティバル、コロラド州のストリングス・イン・ザ・マウンテン、サンフアンミュージックハワイのマウイ室内楽フェスティバル、オランダのライゼント音楽祭、ベルギーのフェスティバル・ファン・デ・リー、フランスとグアドループ島のランコントル音楽祭などのフェスティバルや会場でゲストアーティストとして出演している。特にアメリカの作曲家の音楽を熱心に演奏しており、最近の録音では、BMOPレーベルからトーマス・オーボエ・リーのヴァイオリン協奏曲（ムレサヌに献呈）、キース・パワーズの「13 Best Classical Music Recordings of 2016」に含まれるアヴィ・レコードからのCD「Lift」にエレナ・ルーアの作品を収録している。またピアニストのマイケル・ルウィンとケンタウルス・レーベルでウィリアム・ボルコムのソナタ全曲を、ピアニストのダナ・シオカーリーと、フランスのレーベルAR RE-SEでギョーム・レキューとアルベリック・マニャールの後期ロマン派ヴァイオリンとピアノのためのソナタを録音した。アルバニー・レコードでヴァージニア・エスキンと共演したマリオン・バウアーのヴァイオリンとピアノのためのソナタの世界初録音がある。モントリオール国際コンクール、エリザベート王妃国際コンクール、UNISA国際コンクール、ワシントン国際コンクール、シャット弦楽器コンクールなどの権威ある国際ヴァイオリン・コンクールで受賞、上位入賞している。メリーランド大学のクリエイティブ・パフォーミング・アーツ賞、権威あるNew Music USA Grant、Pro Musicis International Award、プレッサー音楽賞、イリノイ大学のケイト・キンレイ・フェローシップ賞、ハーバード音楽協会のアーサー・フート賞を受賞。メリーランド大学の准教授であり、ボストン音楽院、ハーバード大学およびマサチューセッツ工科大学の音楽学部で教鞭をとってきた。
