ヴァイオリニスト
Isabelle Faust (イザベル・ファウスト)。ドイツの女性ヴァイオリニスト。1972年3月19日生まれ。
ドイツのエスリンゲン生まれ。兄のボリス・ファウストはヴィオラ奏者。5歳よりヴァイオリンを始める。クリストフ・ポッペン、デネス・ジグモンディに師事。1996年にフランスのパリへ渡り、バルトークの作品を収めたデビューCDをリリース。フォーレの作品の演奏で高い評価を受けた。1993年のパガニーニ国際ヴァイオリンコンクール第1位受賞。2004年にルリン芸術大学のヴァイオリンの教授に就任。これまでにバッハ、ベートーベン、ドヴォルザーク、ロベルト・シューマン、シューベルト、ブラームス、アルバンベルク、モーツァルト、ボフスラフ・マルティヌー、アンドレ・ジョリヴェらの作品の録音をリリースしている。
