Joo Yeon Sir (シル・ジュヨン)
ヴァイオリニスト
Joo Yeon Sir (シル・ジュヨン)。韓国の女性ヴァイオリニスト。1990年6月29日生まれ。
ソウル生まれ。9歳のときにロンドンに移り、パーセル音楽院と英国王立音楽院のジュニア部門で教育を受けた。英国王立音楽院の奨学生として、フェリックス・アンドリエフスキーに師事。また、リサイタル、室内楽、オーケストラとのソリストとして、ウィグモア・ホール、ロンドン・アーツ・クラブなどで演奏している。2006年、16歳でブルガリアのハスコヴォで開催されたネディアルカ・シメオノバ国際ヴァイオリン・コンクールで総合グランプリを受賞。また、ロイヤル・フィルハーモニック・ソサエティのエミリー・アンダーソン賞(2007年)、MBF音楽教育賞(2008年)、ウィンザー・フェスティバル国際弦楽コンクール(2008年)で最年少ファイナリストとして第2位を受賞。また、ハーロー、ロータリー・クラブ、セブンオーク、リックマンズワースの各ヤング・ミュージシャン・コンペティションなど、数多くのヤング・ミュージシャン・タイトルを獲得している。作曲家としても活躍しており、14歳の時に作曲した「Conflict in Time」でBBC/The Guardian Young Composer of the Year 2005の一等賞とタイトルを獲得している。この作品はウィグモアホール、カドガンホールで演奏され、BBCラジオ3でも放送された。2007年、リムスキー・コルサコフの「シェヘラザード」のソリストとして出演し、その模様はBBCラジオ2でハワード・グッダルの番組「Class Acts」の一部として放送された。
