Tasmin Little (タスミン・リトル)

Tasmin Little (タスミン・リトル)。イギリスの女性ヴァイオリニスト。1965年5月13日生まれ。
ロンドン生まれ。6歳から音楽を始める。最初はリコーダーから習い始めた。ユーディ・メニューイン音楽学校でヴァイオリンを学んだ。同時期に学んだヴァイオリニストにはナイジェル・ケネディがいる。1982年にBBC若手音楽家賞の弦楽部門で決勝まで進んだ。ユーディ・メニューイン音楽学校を卒業後、ギルドホール音楽演劇学校でヴァイオリン演奏を学んだ。1988年にイギリスのマンチェスターのハレでソリストとしてデビュー。1990年にはBBCプロムスに出演。2008年には、クラシック音楽をより身近なものにする取り組みとして、自身のWebサイトでバッハのパルティータ、イザイのヴァイオリンソナタ、ポール・パターソンの作品を無料配信した。2011年、エルガーのヴァイオリン協奏曲の録音で、イギリスで開催される音楽の祭典「ブリット・アワード」を受賞。2012年にはこれまでの音楽家としての業績をたたえられ、大英帝国勲章を授与されている。2020年1月に演奏活動を引退することを表明した。
