Vera Beths (ヴェラ・ベス)
ヴァイオリニスト
Vera Beths (ヴェラ・ベス)。オランダの女性ヴァイオリニスト。1946年6月1日生まれ。
父親のGijs Bethsからヴァイオリンを習う。アムステルダム音楽院でヘルマン・クレッバースに師事。アムステルダムのスウェーリンク音楽院でも研鑽を積んだ。1969年にオスカーバック国立ヴァイオリンコンクールで第1位を受賞。さらにニューヨークでイヴァン・ガラミアンの下でヴァイオリンの研鑽を積んだ。アムステルダム音楽院、ハーグ王立音楽院でヴァイオリンを教えている。教え子には、へリーン・フルスト(Heleen Hulst)、ロザンヌ・フィリッペンス、マシュー・トラスコット、コリン・ヤコブセン、ノア・ヴィルツフットがいる。オーボエ奏者のワーナー・ヘルバース(Werner Herbers)との間に娘の女優のカーチャ・ヘルバース(Katja Herbers)、ドキュメンタリー制作会社のアンナー・バイスマ(Anner Bijlsma)の間にも娘が一人いる。
