Jan Kubelik (ヤン・クベリーク)
ヴァイオリニスト
Jan Kubelik (ヤン・クベリーク)。チェコの男性ヴァイオリニスト。1880年7月5日生まれ。1940年12月5日没。
プラハのMichle生まれ。父親は庭師でアマチュアのヴァイオリニストだった。5歳より父親からヴァイオリンを習う。カレル・オンドジーチェク(Karel Ondrícek)、カレル・ウィーバーに師事。さらにプラハ音楽院でオタカール・シェフチークに師事した。1900年にウィーンとロンドンでデビューして大成功を収め、1901年にアメリカツアーを行った。1902年にはチェコ・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団とともにロンドンでコンサートを行った。録音も数多く残しており、バッハの作品をシャルル・グノーが編曲した「アヴェ・マリア」を1904年と1905年の2回録音している。1935年のカーネギー・ホールでのコンサートの録音もリリースされている。作曲家として6つのヴァイオリン協奏曲を作曲し、自らコンサートで演奏している。1917年にはファイ・ミュー・アルファ・シンフォニア友愛会（Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America)の名誉会員に選出された。グァルネリウス・デル・ジェズと1715年製のストラディバリウスを使用していた。
