Monica Huggett (モニカ・ハジェット)。イギリスの女性ヴァイオリニスト。1953年5月16日生まれ。
16歳でロンドンの王立音楽院に入学し、マヌグ・パリキアンとカトー・ハヴァスに、バロック・ヴァイオリンをシギスヴァルト・クイケンに師事した。 1980年から1987年まで、トン・クープマン指揮のアムステルダム・バロック・オーケストラを共同で設立し、リーダーを務めた。1994年には英国王立音楽院のフェローとなり、ドイツのブレーメン芸術大学でバロック・ヴァイオリンの教授を務めている。ホグウッドとはアカデミー・オブ・エンシェント・ミュージックで、トレバー・ピノックとはイングリッシュ・コンサートで、ゴールウェイとはアメリカでコンサート・ツアーを行っている。また、ハノーファー・バンドのディレクター、モントリオールのアリオン・バロック・オーケストラ、トロントのターフェルムジーク、ロサンゼルス室内管弦楽団、サンフランシスコのフィルハーモニア・バロック、ノルウェー室内管弦楽団、コンチェルト・コペンハーゲンのゲスト・ディレクターを務めた。 また、ポートランド・バロック・オーケストラとアイリッシュ・バロック・オーケストラの芸術監督を務め、セビリア・バロック・オーケストラのゲスト・ディレクターでもある。さらに、バロック・アンサンブル「アンサンブル・ソネリー」や、ロマン派音楽を中心とした室内アンサンブル「ハウスムジーク・ロンドン」を設立している。1997年のバッハの無伴奏ヴァイオリンのためのソナタとパルティータの録音、2002年ビーバーのヴァイオリン・ソナタの録音でグラモフォン賞を受賞している。バロック時代の音楽史、社会史に精通し、バロック音楽を独自に解釈していることから、バロック・ヴァイオリンを学ぶ人たちの間で、非常に高い人気を誇っている。バンフ、ダーティントン、ヴィチェンツァ、ダブリン、ハーグ、メデリン、英国王立音楽院などでマスタークラスを行っている。2008年には、ニューヨークのジュリアード音楽院に新設された歴史的演奏の大学院プログラムのディレクターに就任した。
