Ray Chen (レイ・チェン)
ヴァイオリニスト
Ray Chen (レイ・チェン)。台湾の男性ヴァイオリニスト。1989年3月6日生まれ。
台北生まれ。4歳からヴァイオリンを始める。1998年の長野冬季五輪のオープニングでヴァイオリンを披露。カーティス音楽院でアーロン・ローザンドに師事。2006年と2007年の夏にクリーブランド音楽院でデヴィッド・セロンに師事。2008年のユーディ・メニューインヴァイオリンコンクールで第1位、2009年のエリザベート王妃国際コンクールで第1位を受賞。2011年にはエコー・クラシック賞の新人賞を受賞。2012年のノーベル賞の授賞式でブルッフのヴァイオリン協奏曲をロイヤル・ストックホルム・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団とともに披露。これまでにチャイコフスキー、メンデルスゾーン、モーツァルトのヴァイオリン協奏曲やラヴェルの作品の録音をリリースしている。非常に快活な性格で、自身のYouTubeチャンネルでも積極的に演奏動画を公開している。
