ヴァイオリニスト
Aleksey Igudesman (アレクセイ・イグデスマン)。ロシアの男性ヴァイオリニスト。1973年7月22日生まれ。
コメディー・ミュージカル・デュオ「イグデスマン&ジョー」の活動で知られる。当時のソ連のレニングラードで、音楽家のユダヤ人家庭に生まれた。6歳のとき、家族とともにドイツに移住。12歳のときにイギリスのユーディ・メニューイン音楽学校に入学。1989年から1998年まで、ウィーン音楽院でボリス・クシュニールにヴァイオリンを学ぶ。「Violins of the World」というプロジェクトでは、ギドン・クレーメル、ジュリアン・ラクリン、ジャニーヌ・ヤンセン、ヴァディム・レーピン、パヴェル・ヴェルニコフ、アレクサンドラ・スームとヴァイオリン・デュエットを披露している。また、ロジャー・ムーアがイグデスマンの詩を朗読している。弦楽トリオ「トリオロジー」では、世界各地でコンサートを行い、ソニーBMGにCDを数枚録音している。 ピアニストのリチャード・ヒョンギ・ジョーと、音楽とコメディのデュオ「イグデスマン&ジョー」としてツアーを行っている。また、俳優や映画監督としても活躍し、監督デビュー作『Noseland』は、ジュリアン・ラクリンやミッシャ・マイスキーなどのクラシック音楽家と、俳優のジョン・マルコヴィッチやロジャー・ムーアを題材にした長編モキュメンタリーで、2012年6月にルーマニアのトランシルヴァニア国際映画祭でプレミア上映され、DocMiami 2012で「Most Entertaining Documentary」を受賞し、ドイツでも映画公開された。練習室を検索・予約するアプリを提供するMusic Travelerの共同設立者でもある。
