Stuart Canin (スチュアート・カニン)。アメリカの男性ヴァイオリニスト。1926年生まれ。
ニューヨーク出身のヴァイオリニスト、指揮者。1936年12月30日、10歳の時にフレッド・アレンのラジオ番組に出演。ハリー・トルーマン大統領、ウィンストン・チャーチル、ポツダム会談でのジョセフ・スターリンのために演奏した。1959年には、パガニーニコンクールで優勝した最初のアメリカのヴァイオリニストとなった。カナン、ジュリアードスクールでイワン・ガラミアンに学ぶ。アイオワ大学とオベリン音楽院で音楽を教えた後、サンフランシスコ交響楽団（小澤征爾に任命された）、サンフランシスコ・オペラ、そして2000年から2010年まではロサンゼルス・オペラのコンサートマスターを務めた。ロサンゼルス・オペラの芸術監督プラシド・ドミンゴと音楽監督ジェームス・コンロンは、彼が引退する際に、「スチュアート・カニン・コンサートマスター・チェア」を常設することを発表した。カニンは、New Century Chamber Orchestra の創設メンバーであり、1992年から1999年まで、初代音楽監督として活躍した。ハリウッドでのスタジオワークも経験しており、ロバート・アルトマン監督の「ショートカット」ではヴァイオリンが演奏し話す役を、「Forrest Gump, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List」といった映画のサウンドトラックではヴァイオリンを担当している。また、ポーラ・アブドゥルのヴァイオリン奏者としてスタジオワークも行っている。
